Aeronautical Engineering

Department of Aeronautical Engineering :The department of Aeronautical engineering was established in the year 1949 for Aerospace research.The department offers a 4-year undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in Aeronautical Engineering with revised and periodically updated curriculum. There has been a steady build-up of infrastructure also and the Department has up-to-date laboratories in the core areas of aerodynamics, structures and propulsion. Students are encouraged to build aircraft models through Aeromodelling Club activities.

The Department has undertaken a Major Project on "Integrated Thermo Structural Analysis, ISRO, Bangalore & on Temperature Mapping in Rocket Motor Propellent Grain,ASL, Hyderabad. Major consultancy project on "Design and aAnalysis of CFR Motor Case" sponsored by DRDL, Hyderabad.

Courses:
UG Program BE in Aeronautical Engineering of 4 years duration after Higher Secondary Examination. Based on the academic merit scores the students are admitted in the BE Degree Course.
PG Program ME in Aeronautical Engineering of 2 years duration after UG course
The Department also has research programs leading to MS & Ph.D Degrees
